Our commitment to empowerment and support extends beyond local borders. We recently organised a collection drive to provide essential items such as clothing, furniture and useful equipment to communities in need overseas. The response was overwhelmingly positive.
A community united for a global cause
We believe access to basic necessities is a fundamental right. The collection drive succeeded thanks to incredible support from our local community in Oldbury, Birmingham: schools, businesses, families and individuals all donated generously.
A dedicated team of HIANA volunteers sorted, packed and prepared the donations for shipment. Donations included items for all ages, from everyday wear, winter coats, school uniforms and shoes to furniture and equipment, all in excellent condition and ready to use.
Shipment and distribution
We partnered with reputable logistics companies to transport the items safely. The first shipment has already reached its destination, bringing relief and joy to many.
“Thank you, HIANA, for bringing hope and comfort to our community. The items we received have made a significant difference in our daily lives. We are grateful for your kindness and support.”
Looking ahead
This is an ongoing effort, and we're planning future collections of educational supplies and medical equipment. You can help by donating items at our next collection drive, volunteering with sorting and packing, or sharing our work with friends and family.
